Last year, the Central Intake Unit provided case management for over 10,000 refugees in Los Angeles County who were seeking assistance with skills assessment, education, and job referrals. The Central Intake Unit also helps move refugees from public assistance to full-time employment. Catholic Charities Refugee Resettlement program provides pre-arrival processing, case management and employment services for refugees. Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) works in cooperation with 170 parochial elementary schools in Los Angeles County to allow 15,000 youth to participate in organized sports activities. ![]() The management team of Catholic Charities includes: Front row: left to right: Mary Romero, Director of San Gabriel Region; Lupe Macker, Director of San Pedro Region.
