At the El Monte Multi-Services Center, Catholic Charities works in collaboration with other agencies to bring those in need a number of services in one building. Catholic Charities focuses on case management services including job development and placement. The El Monte Community Center provides vulnerable individuals and families with safety net services such as food, clothing, temporary shelter, assistance with public benefits applications, winter energy assistance and comprehensive case management. Brother Miguel Center, located in Pomona, provides emergency basic needs assistance. Many of the clients who come to the Center for help spend 75% or more of their incomes on rent, leaving them one unexpected bill or crisis away from Losing their housing. |
