The ADESTE program provided 460 children with a safe-haven after school during the school year and all day during the summer. Brother Miguel Center (Pomona), the El Monte Community Services Center, and Brownson House (East Los Angeles) together served 23,474 homeless and low-income individuals. Catholic Charities Housing and Employment Specialists reached 2,366 homeless individuals in El Monte, Pomona and West Covina. Two hundred thirteen families were helped to move into permanent housing while 76 heads of households successfully found jobs. The Welfare to Work Program at Brownson House served 71 clients, 32 of which were placed in unsubsidized placements and 20 in post employment education or training. I wanted to thank you for helping me through my work program and for providing lunch when I did not have one and for just being helpful. Dave, San Gabriel Region |
