When asked about his new position, Dr. Bognar commented, I am delighted to join in the work of Catholic Charities on the west coast. These are the Days of Grace...a time to help families find hope, dignity and a self-determined future. There is no better work and I feel honored to be a part of it. His duties include overall management of Catholic Charities programs and services in the City of Santa Barbara and surrounding areas, as well as the underserved rural towns in north Santa Barbara County.

Catholic Charities Golf Tournament Held at Riviera

| The championship course at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades was the site of the Seventh Annual Cardinal Mahony Golf Tournament for Catholic Charities, held on Monday, October 6th. Tournament proceeds will be used to support Catholic Charities programs for the poor and homeless in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. Monsignor Gregory A. Cox, Executive Director of Catholic Charities, is grateful to the generous sponsors and the other donors who contributed to the success of the tournament. (See page 2 for list of donors.) Committee members for the event were Vincent F. Martin, Jr., John C. Morrissey, William E. Simon, Jr. and Paul D. Tosetti.
