Catholic Immigration Services (CIS)
Program Description
This program of the Immigration and Refugee Department of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles enables the unification of families under the immigration laws of
the United States by legalizing persons who are residing in the United States without lawful immigration status,
and by assisting in the lawful immigration of family members to the United States. Most of the staff who work directly
with clients are former immigrants or refugees themselves who are familiar with the process of legalization and naturalization.
They are also trained in areas of immigration procedures and immigration law. Over four thousand clients are served every year.
