CITY OF ANGELS CHRISTMAS GALA WILL BE HELD
ON DECEMBER 4, 2004, TO BENEFIT POOR FAMILIES

Organized by Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, the City of Angels Christmas Gala has replaced the Annual Papal Knights’ Dinners. This formal dinner and dance is presented by the Board of Trustees of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, in cooperation with three Papal Orders: the Knights and Dames of Malta, the Knights and Dames of St. Gregory, and the Knights and Ladies of the Holy Sepulchre. Cardinal Roger Mahony will personally welcome the guests.

This year, the City of Angels Christmas Gala honors the late Cyril Nigg as well as Peter and Gerry Nigg, members of the Order of Malta who chaired the Papal Knights’ Dinners for 25 years. Seven Knights of Malta inductees and 12 Knights of Holy Sepulchre inductees will be welcomed at a special reception with Cardinal Mahony, prior to the main reception. The proceeds from the Gala will benefit impoverished children and families served by Catholic Charities. The City of Angels Christmas Gala will be held at The California Club on Saturday, December 4, 2004.
