Protecting the Aging

Nearly half of all seniors who live alone in California are unable to pay their bills. Coupled with isolation and health concerns, many experience depression, decreased mental acuity and malnutrition. To compound the problem, there is a gap between the need for and the delivery of social services, healthcare and community resources for homebound, low-income seniors.  Catholic Charities’ programs for the elderly provide compassionate in-home care. With financial assistance, nutritious food delivery and access to community resources, seniors can live dignified and independent lives.
