Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc. is one of the largest human services providers in California that operates a variety of programs to serve the poor and strives to find permanent solutions to crisis situations by offering clients the tools and resources needed to achieve greater self-reliance and stability in their lives.

Catholic Charities is searching for a Director of Human Resources for it's corporate office in downtown Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

The Director of Human Resources will report to the Executive Director and be a part of the senior management team. In this key role, the Human Resources Director will supervise the activities of three staff in support of the agency's 350+ employees and have overall responsibility for the internal operations of the Human Resources Department, with emphasis in the following areas:

Administration and maintenance of the compensation and benefits program
Organizational and professional development
Employee relations
Employee retention and recruitment
Employee orientation, development and training
Worker's compensation and safety

Qualifications

Master's degree in Human Resources or related field required
5-7 years of progressive experience as a Director/Manager
A thorough knowledge of and expertise in all areas of Human Resources, including current labor laws, compensation structures and policy and procedures development
Exceptional communication, analytical and problem solving skills
Experience working with non-profits A+
PHR/SPHR Certification preferred

Downtown Los Angeles

Hours

Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
